This is a beautifully maintained park, which has been awarded a David Bellamy Gold award for its conservation efforts is midway between Ambleside and Windermere in the midst of superb Lakeland countryside.
Onsite there is a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and fitness suite, a relaxing bar and a fully licensed restaurant, refurbished for this season. A takeaway service is also available if you prefer to eat in the comfort of your own accommodation. Laundry facilities and a well stocked shop and off license complete the indoor amenities.
Outdoor there is a new children’s play area with picnic tables and a newly constructed multi use games area for football, tennis and basketball. Sailing and water sports enthusiasts can enjoy the marina at White Cross Bay which offers one of the best boat launching facilities on Lake Windermere. A stream meanders its way through the park encouraging ducks, swans and other wildlife. Within easy walking distance are the Low Wood Water Sports centre and the Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole.
